Dakota Theim - Black Bulb Sessions

In 2007 a 12-year-old boy named Dakota Theim experienced a terrible accident by falling into a vat of acid. Through his recovery, he discovered that the acid had given him supernatural rock star abilities. Though he lacks proper spandex and cape, he somehow still falls into the superhero category. Since the accident, he’s grown into a multi-instrumental musician and songwriter. Some have even called him the songbird of our generation, but who are we to give labels? For the past two years, Dakota has worked for Black Bulb Magazine as our resident audio engineer and bean chef. Though his beans are tasty, his talent as a musician is scrumptious. Mr. Theim is backed by guitarist Ben Bilotti, bassist Alex Werner, pianist Joseph Freeman, and drummer Jack Stringer. Dakota Theim debuted his first single in 2019 and has since released two albums. His most recent album, Tangled Heart, combines classic pop sensibilities with modern arrangements while exploring the complexities of love and relationships.
