Interview with Quincy Washington

When you think about dark artists, you might think of a quiet, introverted person. When Quincy came by the studio, I quickly realized that he was going to be the opposite of that. We hit it off and had a blast while playfully running on the misconceptions of what it’s like to be an artist, and how so many people want to know what kind of pens he uses- as if THAT is what will give them the ability to be a good illustrator. He even brought his pens just to show how many he actually uses, and yes there are some nice pens he had rolled up in his case.

His artwork might be the most detailed work I’ve ever seen, and he absolutely deserves the credit he’s earned. I saw how excited he gets on future projects, and it’s not a mistake that he’s a leader in the dark art world. I’m always amazed at the talent he holds, and always looking forward to seeing his next IG post.
