Interview with Magical

There are blends of wine, whiskey, cheeses, and then there’s a blend of style. Magical brings a traditional skill of illustration and drawing to his street art. His stippled shading and mixed media will keep you interested in what he does next. If you follow him on IG, you’ll notice how generous he is to show his process, and then it’s followed by reasonable prices. You can tell he loves to make his art.

It’s not easy to establish a “vibe” all the time, and as artists grow, they feel the need to explore until their vibe is more engrained into their work. Since Magical began his street art in 2010, he has had plenty of time to dial in his visual vibe, and more importantly, understand what works best for him and his fans. It’s good to see that he avoids going too “commercial” with his work, and he maintains a level of honesty with what he sells. Do I see his work being picked up by more musicians? Yes. Featured in art shows? Absolutely. Potential Augmented Reality experience with his work as the chilling ghosts that haunt yet lead you to a land of colorful worms in the sky? Definitely.
