Interview with Dental Bonez

Dental Bonez is a transplant from Chicago who came to Portland who found the greenest of pastures.

It’s fair to say that he’s made a name for himself out here. He began his journey as a street artist/illustrator and made his way into tattoos. When you set foot into his shop, you’ll see an original Batman playing on his VCR TV, see an array of vintage toys, X-Ray Gogs, a couple of Pee-Wee Hermans, and art from some close street art friends. It’s vibrant, it’s classic, and it’s undeniably “Dental Bonez.”

His passion for tattooing started as a hobby and he quickly began that there was an opportunity here to dive in and make a name for himself. After getting all the needed credentials, certifications, and exams, he hung up his shingle. He stays true to his roots with sticker culture and sells fine art prints on his IG (it’s a good follow).

When he’s not working, you’ll catch him proudly ripping around town on his Triumph on and off the roads. It’s like he’s a kind of a gritty creative superhero who doesn’t really have any villains but will soar to the scene of the happenin’ kickback spots. It’s not a bad way to live life.

This guy radiates creative energy and if you can get on his books, do it. If not, keep him on your radar for when the time comes.
